Broadmeadow Magic Youth Football Club | 2017 NET Program Statement

11 Aug 2016 by Magic Youth FC

To all Magic parents, players, & supporters,

You may or may not be aware of the situation regarding the Skill Acquisition Phase (SAP) program run by Newcastle Football and the changes that will take place for the 2017 football season.

Newcastle Football will not be accepting a SAP License from Northern NSW Football which was meant to run for the next three years. Newcastle and Northern NSW Football differ in their views on how to deliver a skills program to players in the Newcastle region.

Instead of the SAP program, Newcastle Football will resume their NET Program (U10, U11 & U12’s) that was started in 2014 with great success. This will allow more players within the Newcastle region to get access to Newcastle Football’s coaching staff led by Technical Director, Richard Hartley.

Over the past couple of weeks, Newcastle Football invited Magic to join the NET program as one of the only eight clubs invited to participate in this program for 2017.

After careful consideration, Broadmeadow Magic Youth Football Club committee have decided to accept Newcastle Football’s offer and to join their NET program.
